Skating
Skateboarding is a sport that involves doing tricks on a skateboard, which is basically a board with four wheels as shown in the image above. Skateboarding involves fundamentally jumping with the board over an obstacle, flipping it over the air, grinding or sliding on it over a rail, rocketing high up and doing some awesome spins and turns on a vert or ramp.
Basics of Skateboarding
- – Skateboarding is not as easy as how the professional skaters make it look like, remember that it took them a lot of time before reaching their current level.
- – Go first for the basic and most essential trick that any skateboarder should learn first, the ollie, which involves jumping over with the board.
- – If you want to learn a new trick, be sure that you have already mastered the basics that composes that trick, expect a lot of failures in the beginning and, but do not get discouraged because you will land that trick if you are patient.
- – Skate with a group that has someone with better skills than you, this way you will learn by example.
- – Skateboarding first of all has to be fun, so if you do not feel fun anymore, quit.

Inline Skating
Inline Skating is a sport that is totally affordable and allows you to do much with it. There are a lot of people who skate with inline skates but not all of them take the sport to the extreme level, where tricks similar to the tricks for the skateboard are performed. Extreme inline skates are basically shoes with wheels, that are designed to be aerodynamic with a high maneuverability.
Basics of Inline Skating
- – Learn to focus on where you want to go with you skates and not at the obstacles or you may end up just hitting them.
- – Bend your knees slightly, your knees will serve as shock absorbers and helps you to have better balance.
- – Before doing any tricks, grinds or airs, make sure you are already comfortable skating on a flat surface.
- – Find a good spot where there is ample of space, and practice regularly ideally with someone better than you
